I am writing to review my current security company that I employ at both of my business locations, Demiguard Security. I am in the scrap metal recycling industry and both of my facilities are location within the city of Detroit. An unfortunate cost of doing business in this industry is the occasional theft that occurs on the property after working hours. Therefore, it has been critical to install not only a reliable system, but also a dependable monitoring company, to help protect my assets.
It has taken me 4 security companies since 2008 to find the sweet spot. But that finally happened when Demiguard came into existence and began monitoring my properties. The advantage that I found by using them is that the people who run the company started in the security industry from the bottom. As installers, they got to know me as a customer, understand my specific needs, and also how to deal with me as a person. Being in the high stress business that I am in, I expect results swiftly and that live up to my expectations. Demiguard has provided that on both fronts.
I used to have issues with miscommunication between the monitoring company and my staff, causing portions of my property to not be monitored properly, or not being monitored at all. Often times, these issues would occur after hours and the security company could not answer simple questions such as, when did the intruder enter the yard, or is this a false alarm. Protocol was often not followed regarding the dispatch of a third-party security guard or the police. The main issue was that I would not have access to my rep because they were off the clock. Fortunately, at Demiguard, I have access to the right person at any time. They are in direct contact with the security company and can immediately begin to quarterback the situation in real time. It also helps greatly that they personally set up the system so they know it better than I do and can troubleshoot or communicate directly with the security company seamlessly.
Demiguard is a newer company of course, which would lead some to write them off for that reason alone. I cannot stress enough though, the experience their owners have, firsthand, of all aspects regarding commercial security. This extends far beyond just the industry that I am in. I am typically skeptical of glowing reviews of a company or restaurant because it seems impossible to that any business can be free of flaws. I am not claiming that Demiguard does not have room to grow or is perfect in every way, but I am willing to say that Demiguard Security has far surpassed the business I have done with other large, corporate security companies, where I am just an account, as opposed to a real business that is known, by the square foot, to the people who call the shots. That means a lot to me, and I feel secure knowing that my properties are secure as much as they possibly can be. Furthermore, I am willing to not just write a review, but am always willing to speak with any prospective client of Demiguard because I truly feel that the service they provide in integral to any business, which in turn helps to keep property insurance costs down, repair costs down, and theft of assets down.
